I’m Laila — a baker and independent creator from Texas who’s spent years traveling the world (and eating my way through it).

Along the way, I discovered so many incredible cultural treats I never knew existed. Now I’m back home in Texas, and my goal is to bring those flavors to your kitchen—no passport or plane ticket required.

I created Baking Borders as a way to share recipes from these amazing cultures and make it easy for anyone-anywhere to make at home. You’ll also find a few of my own pastry experiments and seasonal bakes sprinkled in, too.
